Oslo Aikido Dojo hosted the Oslo Aikido Festival for the 9th time this year, on the weekend of September 12-14. The festival has been held every other year from 2004 to 2018, except for 2010. Then there were a few years of pandemic before we again hosted the Oslo Aikido Festival in 2023.
The Oslo Aikido Festival gathers both aikido federations in Norway, where instructors from all the dojos in Oslo, as well as a guest instructor from near Oslo, contribute with a class each during the weekend. We would like to thank all 7 instructors this year: Gaber Moharem, Kai-Harry Hansen, Gaute Lambertsen, Nikita Siré Boger, Claire Coutris, Koert Struijk, and guest instructor Mouliko Halén for their instructions and inspiration at this year's festival.
The festival was a success with a good atmosphere and joy on the mat. A total of 46 practitioners from 9 different clubs participated in the festival over the weekend.
